My Story:
For as long as I could remember I wanted to become a teacher. I completed my fours years of training at the Australian Catholic University in 2004, graduating with a Bachelor of Education P-10 and then headed off to start my career as a Teacher in Cairns. I taught for three years at St Therese’s School in Edmonton before coming back home to family to start a family of my own. I am married and have three beautiful children of my own, Georgia (13), Lydia (11) and Fynn (7). I was lucky enough that my husband was able to provide for us while I raised our children. As a family we love to look after our small herd of cattle, tend to our beautiful home and just enjoy each other. I re-entered the workforce in 2012 when I accepted the role of integrating the Pre-prep program into a long day care facility. I was honoured one day, in 2017, to receive a phone call from Lisa Gilmore asking me if I would like to become a part of the Alma Street Pre-Prep team! And the rest as they say is history! I am now lucky enough to be working with a beautiful and encouraging team of ladies who I am lucky to now call my friends. I have a true appreciation for the Alma Street Pre-Prep way (which I came to know and love as my three children attended Alma Street Pre-Prep) and a love of the sense of community we have here. I love to watch children blossom in their own time, and always feel blessed to be a part of that growth and development.
