My Story:
I love working at Alma Street Pre-Prep with our pre-prep age group! I have worked in the teacher/director role since 2000. As a Brisbane girl originally, my career in early childhood education began at the (then) Brisbane College of Advanced Education –Kelvin Grove. Upon graduation I gained employment with the Department of Education in Gympie in a state preschool. I then continued to work in various preschools and lower primary classes until 1999. Throughout this time I also lectured and tutored at TAFE in Children’s Services courses.

My passions in early childhood education are the maintenance and staunch defence of PLAY as the most effective learning tool in early childhood and the amazing programs that are developed using the ideas of the children as the starting point. As an early childhood educator I love to devote myself to the children I have each year.
My husband Max and I have three daughters, Hanagh 29, an Occupational Therapist, Shannon 25, a nursing student and Jordanna 21 currently studying Primary teaching. All three of our girls attended Alma Street Pre-Prep in their kindergarten and preschool years.

I love mostly to spend time with my family and we enjoy weekly beach trips, walks on the beach and while they all swim I very much love to stand up paddle board. Exercise is a very big focus of my life and I enjoy walking, going to the gym and pilates classes.
To me ...the list of fantastic things about Alma Street Pre-Prep is extensive but the best thing is the team of beautiful people who work here – each talented in their own areas and all devoted to the children, their families and providing stimulating, child centred and play based education.
